Well, we're here now.

It's 2026, almost 10 years after interviewing for an opportunity to work for an NFL agent after law school. Admittedly, I had no sports background at the time, but someone I knew was a former NFL player connected me with his agent my last year at GW Law.

"You should have leveraged this friendship a year ago, I would have given you an internship . . . Anyways, let me know if you ever need anything." - the Agent ended the call saying.

A week or so later, e-mail him and his office offering to work for him for free, and drive Uber/Lyft at night to cover my bills. Something I was used to doing already during my 2L summer unpaid internship, where I'd turn on my Uber/Lyft apps the moment I got to my car after leaving the office driving until at least midnight.

Never heard from the agent again, and that's ok. I don't take things personal like that.

Yesterday, in collaboration with my law firm Sandberg Phoenix we launched a Sports, Talent, and Front Office representation firm, Algorithm Talent.

The press releases went out, the messages came in, but it's Day 2, and we're here now.
